An Eastlake cottage, the most elaborately decorated residence in Point Arena, nothing in town matches it for ornamentation. Decorative millwork adorns the bargeboards at the gable ends. Scroll brackets at the corners of the building support the eaves.

The original 1870 lighthouse was destroyed in the 1906 Earthquake. This tower built in 1908 is the first California lighthouse to use reinforced concrete, be better withstand earthquakes.
